Common questions

Do I need an account? No. Pazt works without one and keeps your archive on your iPhone. Signing in backs it up so you can continue on another phone.

Who can see my memories? Memories you keep for yourself are private to your account — including ones marked “published”. There is no feed, no followers and no messaging.

What happens when I add a memory to Pazt? “Add a memory” sends it to the Pazt team for review — it needs an account. People read every contribution; they may publish it (possibly edited), add it to a memory already in Pazt, keep it as a note, or not use it. Only approved memories are shown to others, with the credit you chose (or as the Pazt community) — never your email or account. You can follow each one in My Contributions.

Something published shouldn't be there? Open it and use Report an issue (the “···” menu), or email us. We can unpublish memories and stop accounts from contributing.

A problem with my contribution, my privacy or my account? In the app: Settings → Help & Feedback → A contribution or published memory, or Privacy or my account. Or email us directly.

How do I delete my data? In the app: Settings → Privacy & Data. Delete local archive removes this device's copy. Delete account permanently deletes your account, everything backed up to it, and your photos — including contributions that weren't accepted and every photo you sent with a contribution. Contributions Pazt accepted stay in the archive without your name or account.

How do I stop syncing? Settings → Account → Sign out. Nothing is deleted.

Which devices are supported? iPhone, iOS 17 and later. iPad and Android aren't supported yet.
